Here goes . . .

AngryVeiledChibiChick+Artwork-RababMaherA BLEEDING HEART: I DESPISE racists, racism and ethnocracy with every fibre of my being, defenders of oppression and oppressors, the obstinate and those who are selective in terms of their beliefs and “principles” – and more still, when they justify them. I ABHOR arrogance, double-standards, hypocrisy, ignorance, injustices of any kind, intolerance, labelling, preconceived notions and presumptions. I BELIEVE in truth, transparency, rights, respect and mercy for ALL creation, equality and choice. I get along well with anyone who’s embracing, open and receptive in ear, mind and heart and treat others how they like to be treated,

Narrated by Abu Dāwūd رضي الله عنه, The Prophet ﷺ said,

The perfect believer is the one who loves for the sake of Allâh, hates for the sake of Allâh, gives for the sake of Allâh and restrains for the sake of Allâh.

That was a mouthful (*^_^*) . . . On a lighter note . . .

GreyEyesCuteVeiledChibi-by-RababMaherBACKGROUND: I’m a blunt British-Palestinian residing in little Qatar, petite in size but big in character and an introverted rebel (custom, culture and tradition aren’t my thing – even though I have no problems with them per se, adopting or following anything or anyone without thought is beyond me and a bore). I wander in my own wee world with my life and work partner (he’s the nicer one) as an AromArtisan™, visual artist and writer. My whole life revolves around aromatics and formulation, creative living and solutions, visual creativity and creative expression, and holistic alignment.

ColourfulRMWatercolourLogo-SmartMockup-RababMaherA NO-NONSENSE FUSS FREE MINIMALIST™: I LOVE clarifying, simplifying and keeping it as holistic and as natural as possible by embracing holistic healing healthy habits and mindful actionable intentions and facilitating others to do the same. As an insatiable bibliophile, perpetual applicable learner and autodidact, and due to my ongoing eclectic experience, I amalgamate all that I’ve learned – and continue to learn – into the works I do and will do إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَٰه.

GLIMPSES INTO MY WRITINGS: I’m an incessant clarity questioner and seeker obsessed with etymology and epistemology and have a deep fascination with behaviour, body language and intonations, character growth, energy, mindset, resilience, and word and life choices.

ALL in Alignment with ISLÂM الْحَمْدُ لله.

  1. As-Salâmu ‘Alaykum My Better Half,

Being your beloved husband, your other half and your harshest critic, I feel obliged to drop these words for you as you are beginning your journey into the world of words.

There is an Arabic saying that goes like this ‘أوّلُ الغيثِ قطرة’ which translates as ‘The beginning of a downpour is a drop‘. Having known you for the challenging seven years of our marriage, and in-shâ’-Allâh many more, I can comfortably say that this website, and rightfully so, should be the first raindrop of your downpour of words.

This is not because you have a lot to say but rather someone who has something positive to share. I have experienced this not only during our ongoing conversations about almost everything but also with the kind of input you have had on my own writings: articles, screenplays and poetry.

My hope is that you have it in you to share with the world some of your more personal works (specifically your poetry). I am positive that our world needs more people like you to express some of your thoughts for it to be better.

Having shared this, if you fail to do so, and consequently the world remains the way you hate it to be, you have only yourself, and those like you, to blame; those who refrain from doing whatever must be done.

May I remind you of your own words my dear, ‘Those who turn a blind eye, a deaf ear and remain silent about any form of injustice, DO SO BY CHOICE. . .’

    I pray you don’t!

    Truly Yours,

  2. I admire your philosophy, the strength and love in your attitude and I’m proud to be invited into your world of words and beliefs.

  3. Very Nice. May Allâh سُبْحانَهُ وَتَعالَى Bless You Rabab. It’s an honour to be a friend of yours.

  4. Dear Rabab,

Great to read your beautifully expressed thoughts. You are fortunate to have a loving and supportive life partner. May you both continue to spread compassion and intellect through your words.

  5. Dear Rabab,

Thank you for being you (^_^)!

I’m happy to be one of your friends.

    Keep up your good work!

I wish you all the best.

  6. Greetings,

I am from America. I am very appreciative of being able to read and share in your heart. You are insightful. And your husband seems very supportive. That is a good thing and you are blessed. I love much the same things as you. And enjoy your quotes. I shall visit you more often and try to leave a small piece of my heart here with you as you do for me.

  7. As-Salâmu ‘Alaykum Rabab,

It’s a pleasure to connect with you.

Wow! You have one great website here! So well-arranged, such a peaceful design too.

And, thank you for being at my humble little corner 🙂

    Good day,

  8. You are so pretty! Really pretty from the inside too. Just read about you and the comment your husband made. I melted reading it. You already are doing so Good Mâshâ’Allâh and I can just wish and Pray for you! May you get all the success and happiness in your life 🙂

    Love xx

  9. I’m very happy that I know the beautiful writer 🙂. I know it’s a late comment but I love your page and your introduction; very elegant and honest as usual 🙂. I love Mr Khalid’s comment to you ~ Mâshâ’Allâh.

  10. Assalaamu Alaikum,

For the last 6 years I’ve been in living in Qatar. As a blogger, I never knew about any blogger in Qatar. Thanks to Valibhai Musa who shared one of your poem’s ‘A Publicity Whoreexposition. It’s really impressive with different messages.

I read about you and your journey and views. My blog is in one of the Indian languages. If you visit please don’t be disappointed. You may read one or two posts in the English language.

    Thank you Rabab
