The former British diplomat, the late Hasan le Gai Eaton (Allâh Yirĥamu) said, ‘that while Muslims will sagely nod in agreement when you state that ignorance, hypocrisy and fanaticism do exist in the Muslim world, they usually assume that they themselves are not guilty.’
The inspiration for this simple poem came to me on Saturday, 8th October 2005, after the comments, looks and [mis]treatments (and questions) I received because of my ḥijâb in London after the 7/7 bombings.
Correct definitions and connotations of Arabic words as derived from the root and essence of the Arabic language, and the “Islamic” meanings, in keeping with The Holy Qur’ân and Sunnah.
